The future of Between Two Islands radio
I’m probably going to wind down the radio station, at least in its current form, by the end of the year. But the music isn’t going to stop! Read on…
One of my goals in starting the radio station was to see how much work it would take to run something like this. The answer: LOTS. I haven’t had time to change the music since I started up in September. Even though I put together 14 hours of music, after 10 weeks it’s time for a refresh (as some of you have already pointed out to me!)
That’s just the music part! I haven’t really gotten into the work of promotion or funding.
Whatever I decide to do with the radio station, I know I want to get back to making mixes. Some of my mixes have been available online for a while, but I’ve found a site called Mixcloud that makes the whole process much easier. You can’t download mixes, but you can listen right in your browser with a nice little player. To get started, I posted my first three mixes, none of which have been available online. They’re a little rough, but still enjoyable I hope!
Click the “Listen” link to the right to go to Mixcloud.
Feel free to e-mail me with comments or suggestions, or maybe even start a discussion over at Facebook (you’d be the first!)
Thanks for listening!
